Performing Arts Section Gathering on Saturday, 3rd July 2021 at Rudolf Steiner House in London.

Dear Colleagues,

After a longer hiatus due to the imposed measures, I am pleased to invite you to a one day Performing Arts Section Gathering on Saturday, 3rd of July 2021 at Rudolf Steiner House in London. It will be good to connect again after a long time and to hear how people have dealt with the changing circumstances.

Meeting at Rudolf Steiner House will give us the chance to take in the refurbished theatre, a place we can hopefully all look towards as a potential focus for our work.

We will also have the chance to meet Alexander Gifford, in his new role of Creative Director of Rudolf Steiner House to which he has recently been appointed and to hear about his plans. Equally he will have the chance to meet many of us and find out about our work and the projects we are engaged in. I am keen to encourage an active flow of communication and sharing of vision between the performing artists in the country and the creative director of the house.

Lastly, but first on the programme, we will have the opportunity to see a rehearsed reading of a scene from M. Burton’s play “When the Will Awakens”, directed by Sarah Kane. The play, first published in 2018, is a continuation of Rudolf Steiner’s fourth mystery drama written by Michael Hedley Burton from an outline of scenes and events by Marke Levene. There is then an opportunity for an open conversation afterwards, about the play, any future plans concerning it, and the sharing itself.

Please reply asap to let me know if you are coming. There is no cost for the event, but I would still be grateful if you could book. I will ask the cafe to serve refreshments for coffee/tea, and lunch and need to have numbers for this.
